Breathtaking live-performance of finger-style artist Michael Chapdelaine (www.michaelchapdelaine.com) in a series of mini concerts at the Newport Guitar Festival 2006. Michael is pushing a custom Kevin Ryan guitar to it's limits. Beautifully filmed and edited by Holger Obenaus.

SOrry guys..i said he was an 'insult'...after seeing this video, i dont know who i was referreing to. This guy MC is very talented. I must have been trying to respond to a different video. I apologize for any ill feelings, but Mike is a fine player and the guitar is wonderful. Thanks for the post.

Wow! Amazing Video! Different guitars serve different purposes. This guitar is definitely not meant to play bluegrass.........but it excels as a fingerstyle instrument.

nice playing, but not what I like. In bluegrass that guitar wouldn't keep up. It is better then a ovation, and at lease its wood.

@xxmanx1 haha, not knowing who the guy playing is, and saying he cannot play well is an insult to yourself, xxmanx1. You must be some cock-head to post a comment like that.
Why don't you get out your guitar and post a video response to this video so that we can see how good you are? I think if you start practising now you will still never reach MC's level

Right place at the right time. I got mine for a lot less than that. But equally true was that my wife said I "should" have it. I'd been playing all my life and - some people have like jet ski's and boats and other crap. I don't have any of that. Plus, long term it has gained vale.
