Gulag Ranting!.MPG

10.9.11.The Hawklords were staying somewhere in the Dutch wilderness near Tilburg, on a day off from their Euro tour. The hotel was called F1 and has to be the hotel from hell! I've never stayed anywhere so gruesome in my life! It was in the middle of an industrial estate, next to a huge 24-hr MacDonalds. The building was like a prison block and the rooms were like cells. The showers and toilets were communal and dodgy-looking Eastern Europeans hung around the car park and the lobby looking like they were about to murder each other - or us! We drove in Tilburg and found a nice tapas restaurant and had a lovely, relaxed meal. Then we returned to what I had dubbed 'The Gulag' and drank loads of wine and beer outside on two large tables under the porch and became really quite animated! We then realised that the 'hotel' (I use the term loosely) was also a dodgy, low-rent gay brothel! Filmed on my Sony Digi cam (c) Steve Swindells
