"Everyone should treat themselves to a nice fresh, hot roll in the morning!"

"Nancy! Do I smell fajitas?"

This editted-video is my personal, odd tribute to this bigger-than-life actor. As a trekfan, i was obviously entertained by his vivid characterization of Khan on the 1960's series. And was thrilled to see him reprise that role in 1982's Star Trek II-The Wrath Of Khan. I even enjoyed his turn as a villian in the late 1980's series "The Colbys".

Since he understood the humor of spoofing himself (as in 1988's The Naked Gun), his earnest performance in this 1992 infomercial has been a repeated source of belly-aching laughs among my peers. Ricardo Montalban could be performing Shakespeare or pitching kitchen-gadgets, but always giving it his all.

And with PASSion! Lol.

  • yeah, i agree. although i still giggle hysterically during this presentation, Mr. Montalban gives a dedicated performance!

  • I worked for Salton/Toastmaster in the late 90's in its hay day and here is a little background info on this infomercial...This is really the first incarnation of the George Foreman grill so popular in the late 90's early '00's and even still around today. Salton bought the rights from Toastmaster and revamped it and teamed it w/George for one of the first mega-infomercials. Salton eventually bought up TM completely and then ran it into the ground over the years.

  • thanks for sharing your info with us.

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS. I have been searching for it for YEARS.

  • lol. glad some others out there found the odd humour in this.

not certain why he ever did this, except that it likely only took a day of his time and he got a free breakfast, lunch AND dinner!

    absolutely remarkable!
