On the note about the tango, I might agree, however having played this myself, and having been critiqued by the composer... This is more like it.

i wonder how this will sound if its played a bit more choppy. instead of glissando-ing (-ish) and sliding it around, how about firming it up and playing it more accentuated? it's a tango after all, but personally (note on PERSONALLY, so dont jump on me for saying this), i imagine a tango to have some more definite (crisp) motion.

also, great violist. my quartet's violist showed up only twice to practice. obviously, your violist is more dedicated.
