3D File Browser

It is a Proof of Concept (PoC) that blender game engine can make a 3d graphical interface which can deal with the system and getting it's information, so we made a basic 3d File Browser with python, you can describe it as a prototype.

This is cool! It would be really cool if you polished it a lot... Then just make an executable .bat file on your startup to make it come up right as you get on your computer.

@laxwolf i have thought about that a lot but this browser is just for proofing the concept of the 3D-Vui project "That you can control your computer via a graphical interface using blender game engine." we will do what you proposed in the windowing manager which will be usable and will be the starting point for the project

I see great potential here. Do you consider having 3d animation in the file browser in the future? (e.g. animate icons in 3d when you click them, have icons moving back and forth the z-axis as you're navigating the file system hierarchy ... etc.).

Lastly, can you tell me the track names used in the video? ;)

wow! this is amazing! im defenently subscribing! And this shows the true capabilites of blender! Someday, someone might make a whole OS that runs entirely off of blender and python! Again, AMAZING WORK man!! :D
