@BassFader Well ... Putting music into specific kinds of genres has its advantages, you can easily tell other people what you like and what not ...
You know that this classic trance music acts like a specific kind of genre so why not give it one ...? Now it's easy to tell if you like it or not just by saying "I like Classic Trance" ^^
Well, I'm pretty sure that there's only an insignificant small percentage of artists stopping production because of a lack of ideas ;)

@littlerave86 I don't remember such distinctions being made when I listened to this music originally - I had mix tapes with all 'genres' of trance (and what we'd now call techno, and what might now be called hard house) together. It seems a bit ridiculous to me to call 'classic trance' a genre rather than a description, but if you want to make that distinction then who am I to argue? ;-P
I suppose it might be better to stop producing than to run out of ideas and start producing generic mush?

@BassFader Nope ... The trance genre started as "Trance" but to differ the earliest trance tracks from all the sub genres that developed until now, it is called "Classic Trance" and other trance genres do not belong in there, although they might be filled with classics like Goa, Acid Trance, Dark Trance, Dream, Hardtrance and so on ... ;)
Yeah, MWNN is one of my fav Goa producers :) He should have never stopped ...
