@ford1979truck It is better, i think. I got a Troy-bilt snow blower too, there the shoot is in iron, painted red. Worked fine untill the paint fell of, and it began to rust. The snow get stuck on the surface of the rust now...

@catman7771 it does... i've had ones w/ plastic... there's no diff except i broke the plastic chute, whereas, my steel stuff is 40+ yrs old and still going strong

all junk. i will stick to the old tractors, i have a 1971 jd112 with a 37a and a 1971 IH cub cadet 147 with a qa42. both engines have been rebuilt and both run fantasic. both machines are made out of heavy gauge steel and cast iron. both machines will still be running and these will all be in the junk yard in 10 years or less. mtd sucks. i own 1 chinese engine on a generator, its a POS but only gets run occasionally. for my regular use machines go k series or go home
