My homage to Rebecca Black. The song was recorded live through a Rode Condenser Mic in Garageband (hence the echo). However, the "rap bit" was very obviously pre-recorded. Let me know what you think! And I am SO looking forward to Friday!

  • I was one of the proud 6 to thumbs down this attempt at making the worst song in history sound even remotely good.

  • @fuzzayboy Oh, worddddddd

  • How can it be a sh..t song, if this guy sings it like Rebecca does but a male version

The Abram Brothers sing it really well to. .Like these guys, most of us parents can relate to the lyrics. Teens these days do their only socialising mostly on the internet its hard for them to relate.

  • @chavrons1 Yeah, but the difference is there is no studio magic used for the majority of the song. No auto-tune, no cuts, it's done live. This is a striking difference. You can take horrible lyrics, and please don't tell me you honestly think that the lyrics are somewhat coherent/artistic, and add chords and make it sound decent. My goal with this video was to depict this reality. Why do you think radio music does so well? Why do you think Miley Cyrus actually has a profiting music career?

  • @fuzzayboy so is it better or worse?

  • You don't often find many 13 year olds on the radio for a start. I can remember Johnny Farnham's first song Sadie. At the time, radio's turned the song down. The lyrics were very catchy to, but not the best. Yet that song climbed to Number One. Tens of Thousands bought Rebecca's song and liked it, so it's not as bad as you think. She has a very musical voice if you listen to her sing other songs.

  • @HaskinsRichmondFolk Personally yes, the writer is a genius, for writing a song overnight that has a very catchy tune and has been enjoyable for many others to sing and yes sing it really well. There was no studio magic. The auto- tune spoiled Rebecca's voice and gave her a nasally sound. It was a song that she wanted to sing as she could relate to the lyrics and have fun with it, like all the others. What really is resented is her mother giving money to have a video done.
