@JELH they confirmed that the next falcon is moving to the mustang platform.

Rumour has it that the next Falcon due to be launched in 2015, will be based on a "global" FWD and AWD platform, which will be shared with the American Ford Taurus. The only RWD car in Ford's portfolio will be the Mustang.
