Starting a new life and searching for a new career isn't easy, but Diane Schroer, a highly-decorated veteran, is no stranger to a challenge. A former Airborne Ranger qualified Special Forces officer, Schroer began taking steps to transition from male to female shortly after retiring as a Colonel after 25 years of distinguished service in the Army. When she interviewed for a job as a terrorism research analyst at the Library of Congress, she thought she'd found the perfect fit. Schroer accepted the position, but when she told her future supervisor that she was in the process of gender transition, they rescinded the job offer. The ACLU is now representing her in a Title VII sex discrimination lawsuit against the Library of Congress. This is Diane's story...

Sadly doing such has little affect on my Senators, living in a red state, Texas. I too am trans-woman. This and health insurance needs to be changed. This sort of change will never happen at state level. Federal intervention is needed, and we really do need to get the truth out about our condition instead of letting those with no knowledge about this physical condition making discriminatory policy. [continued below]
Transsexuals PHYSICALLY have the brain of the opposite sex. It is not an illusion, and has been scientifically verified. Not treating these conditions is fatal to those who have it and are not treated. There is no difference between the brains of a woman or a trans-woman. The hormones produced by the opposite body genitals will drive the afflicted patient insane over the time. This is one of the suicide rates are high. (Somewhere around in 1 in 10 last time I checked.)
I would not have noticed that Diane was transgender (why is that not an approved word in Firefox spell-check btw?), and that to me ruins the only possible argument they could come with that could bear any credence what so ever. That "people may be disturbed by the appearance".
It's just pure and simple Ann Coulter mentality. "America must be pure, all Christians, all married one man one woman, all conservatives".
When will America realize that freedom means more than the right to bear arms?
