a few handle left : http://www.gueugnot.com/steadycam-gimbal-handle/

"Just a quick word...
It is a first test of my DIY camera stabilizer, specialy designed for the Canon 5DMKII + 16/35 2,8 L. Low cost but High quality smooth moov ! Steadicam Merlin was toooooooo expensive for me !

Special gimbal design seen on youtube by WSCLATER. (Skateboard ball bearing and universal joint)...
Really easy to made for less than 60$, a little time and very few tools !

Please add your comment and feels about footage, so I could work to improve the design. I could work on a video tutorial as well."

  • Hi Geugenot, I am wondering, from your website it seems like you are selling the handle, but from this video at 0.24 it seems there is a bit more to it than just the handle, just how do you put the rest of it together? Or do I need to buy the extra bits somewhere else? what do you use as a base plate? You have a new video to explain it all? Quentin

  • Nice Video !!!!

  • Your tutorial is no longer on vimeo

  • Great video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ottoelperro Karen Souza

  • @gueugnot omg..Please tell us what CD is this music taken from? its bossa nova-chill like..

    loved the jamiroquai cover! :]

p.s-i would totally try to build one steadicam like you have, but I'm not such an amazing craftsman..so I guess its a merlin and no food for 2 months :]

  • thumbs up for the music :D

  • This video was real motivating... I'm in the progress of shooting a short film with the 5d and steadycam. Two questions- Was all the lighting in this footage natural? How did you manage to keep the subject in focus with all your movement?

    Thanks

  • Who sings? Just GREAT version of Creep. LOVE IT! Oh; GREAT steadicam too... LOL

  • Anyone bought one of these and have any experience?? Or examples to share other than this 1 video?
