Old Super8 film, no sound.

I played with Super8 camera's when I started mountain biking in 1984. This is part 1 of my "good bits". It's very scratched. I used old Super8 cameras because I couldn't afford to break video cameras at the time. (I broke 3 Super8 cameras.)

  • I had a 1984 Shogun MTB. One of 15 brought into NZ by Healing to test the market. Mine cost $650 from Burkes Cycles. It seemed like a lot of money at the time.

  • yeah I paid something close to $2000 for a kona lavadome in 1999, i was 18 and i worked the worked summer for that bike. they've come down in price now that the components are mostly made in china, older mtb's in good cond have better steel than china ones. shame.... that's progress for ya.

  • that is class!!! I was thinking of using super 8 for some of my xc trail stuff. to be honest there is too much video, nice to see something different. what bikes did you use?
