  • Won't the voids become clogged over time with silt and sand from winter road sand/salt applications.

  • In a commercial application a vacuum truck is used to keep the surface free of debris. This is done at least once a year.

  • What is the potential for huge sinkholes to develop beneath the pervious concrete surface?

  • As long as the Engineers specifications for the subbase are followed there should be no chance for sinkholes to develope. The stone base under the pervious is designed to capture the water from the pervious and then disperse it back into the aquafir. there is also a layer of geotextile fabric that seperates the stone subbase from the subbgrade. The engineer will spec the depth of the stone base.
