UNEMPLOYMENT EXTENSIONS, UNEMPLOYMENT TALK, THOUGHTS ON UNEMPLOYMENT
Washington abandoned millions of long term unemployed by failing to include any help in their "so called" unemployment extension in HR 4213 even though the Senate sold this in the media as "extending vital emergency benefits through the end of this year". Truth is they lied. ENOUGH of the little 6 week extensions for only a few states. The economy will not be fixed in 6 weeks. The long term unemployed in all 50 states need Congress to extend the weekly benefits through the end of 2010 and hopefully do it before their Spring Vacation. We cannot wait.

I just watched your video and I wanted to tell you that IT IS GREAT!!! You speak so eloquently and precise and you make many valid and important points. I have been leaving messages all over the internet about the tier 5 extension. I think it's ridiculous that Americans- Hard Working Americans at that have to BEG the very Government that WE ELECTED TO OFFICE to help us in our time of need. All I can say is that I hope that your message gets heard to help ALL OF US!!

Great points on unemployment and older job seekers. The lack of job training programs for older americans and the total collapse of american manufacturing has led this nation down a path of misery. Unemployment benifits and many other benifits are empty promises from politicians seeking votes.

What a good point. I totally agree. Everytime I hear a person say unemployed people are lazy or someone say that collecting unemployment makes people not want to get job or that unemployment is too much of a strain on our econmony.

truth is we must do more then just talk and send emails, we must protest march and demand. Look at these other countries they are taking action. i am 57, unemployed, black, female. so many negatives blocks of getting a decent job. I have worked over 40 yrs of my life. I have lost my health insurance 2 months ago; I have a Mortgage, Auto payments, and more, what will I do? I am the 99ers i think, i have collected unemployment since jan 2009, would that be extended? tier 5, in Ky, please help us, the older generation of workers. Thank you.
