The women of the village of Sanankoroba in the southern Wassoulou region in Mali threw a party for drumming and dancing students who were visiting the village in January 2011. Sanankoroba is the village of the family of Sidiki Camara, former djembe-soloplayer of the National Ballet of Mali. The drums which are used (small djembe's, flat dunun played with a hand and a stick) are traditional for the region.
