@studentofmises libertarian capitalism is a fantasy. It is based on a psychological condition developed by those people that did not go through third stage development in chilhood.Simple, they don't really like other people (except like themselves),and they are punitive most of the time. This has been my experience with Ayn Randers.
In other words democratically run enterprises are no more difficult to run than a standard multinational corporation which must operate and co-ordinate across time zones, countries and languages.
In 24/7 operations democratic decisions can still easily be made. E.g. by each shift voting for or against specific motions put forwards, and by voting for or against those being nominated to management positions within the organisation. Representatives from each shift could be empowered to discuss or argue the position at joint meetings with representatives from other shifts.
@studentofmises I see. You're not being disingenuous at all. You're being stupid. Are you playing stupid or are you just a real stupid person?! Mob rule? I think there are very real qualitative differences b/w mob rule and democracy. The Friday meetings in workplaces that Prof. Wolff is proposing as well as all challenges of Democracy are to figure out, among all participants, how to rule qualitatively and to figure out how to prevent any free fall into the rule of mobs.
@richardnsalvador No what I like to do instead is point out the flaws in the Democratic or mob rule policy for all. I guess maybe I am wrong, I mean really what could possibly go wrong with mob rule. Its not like a mob of people would ever vote an idiot for president….right?
@studentofmises You substitute process for substance. You then point out the flaws of processual details and then de-legitimize the substance of Pro. Wolff's contributions. Are you being disingenuous or playing stupid. Or are you a US Republican? lol! Go and listen to, watch, and read all of Wolff's work and if you have an open mind, you might begin to shed the willful ignorance so common to many Americans and you might be able to see the light!
can someone please explain how this is possible? and what happens if no decisions can be reached on friday alone, does the decison process continue on monday? also does this democracy in the work place only aply to m-f 9 to 5 office jobs? what happens the 7 days a week eateries or retail stores? If so then that doesn’t seem very balanced or democratic.
what dillusion
