  • @MrOTLChamp WMO 2011: Over the ten years from 2001 to 2010, global temperatures have averaged 0.46°C (0.83°F) above the 1961-1990 average, and are the highest ever recorded for a 10-year period since the beginning of instrumental climate records. 2) UAH -November 2011 +0.123C the anomaly is approximately +0.376C above the 1961-1990 time period used by the Met Office and WMO. UAH Dec 2011: +0.13 deg. C 3) median and mean are not the same. Next.

  • @checkyoursources Where exactly would you like to start you temps from?

You say from the 70's. It was actually coolest in 85. So from 75 to 85 the temps went down. The last decade doesn't show any warming. In fact, it clearly shows no warming at all. And by the time we got to Dec 2011 we were only .2 deg. warmer than the median temps in the mid 70's. -UAH Dec 2011

  • @checkyoursources " they also knew the tax payers would ultimately cover the losses"

How could have known that, unless the government was in on it? Again you are looking at the end result and not the cause. The cause was government. Quote from Jimmy Carter "everyone should own a home" That little statement started the ball rolling. If you don't think the government has leverage enough to force the banks to do what they want. You're out of your mind. Who insures the bank?....The FED

  • @MrOTLChamp No one can force a bank to lend any money they don't wish to. The door was opened and they took advantage of it simply because of greed. They all knew it was high risk business, yielding extremely high interest rates, but they also knew the tax payers would ultimately cover the losses. Ask the bankers.

  • @MrOTLChamp "Why is it not causing any warming, anymore?" 1) There is a warming trend which is why every single decade since the 1970's has been warmer than the previous one.

    2) If you are correct about cooling then it should be easy for you to name a single global dataset that shows net cooling since the 1970's?

p.s. HADcrut, NOAA, NASA all show warming decade on decade since the 1970's

  • @checkyoursources ." What natural factor has driven the majority of warming since the 1970's?"

Lets look at the other side of that statement. Seeing how you are blaming the supposed, unwarranted warming since the 70's on CO2. And without a doubt, CO2 has continued to climb each year. Since it supposedly was causing the warming starting in the 70's. Why is it not causing any warming, anymore?

  • @checkyoursources " The lack of regulation by govt led to the financial meltdown."

On the contrary. It was the governments involvement with the loan process (namely, lowering the standards needed to qualify for the home loans) that caused the meltdown. Banks were forced to give loans to people that couldn't afford them. In fact, Obama was representing ACORN in a lawsuit against CITIBank, for not lending to these people that didn't qualify. They used race as the leverage to get a settlement.

  • @MrOTLChamp "you refuse to look at the fact that the earth was warming far before the industry period started" On the contrary I recognise that climate chnage can have many factors that influence it (since the 1970's humans have been the most likely explanation for the majority of warming) and that past changes show that the climate is sensitive. For warming you need a continued driver. What natural factor has driven the majority of warming since the 1970's?

  • @MrOTLChamp Are you not shocked that the US healthcare system gives people a life expectancy only just equal to Chile's national helath service?

In every country with both systems the cost per person is cheaper if the healthcare comes from tax money than if people choose private. The lack of regulation by govt led to the financial meltdown.

  • @checkyoursources But Barney Frank and the rest of the gang denied there ever was a problem. (There's even video on Barney denying there is a problem)

After enough of these homes were foreclosed on, it started to affect the building industry, and then people were losing their jobs. You are just looking at the end result, and not understanding that the ball was already in motion. Kind of like how you refuse to look at the fact that the earth was warming far before the industry period started.
