YouTube Partners have the option of choosing the ads that they want to be displayed on or next to their videos but they cannot specifically chose a certain kind of ad.

The advertising options that you have provided on your YouTube account's ad settings, are listed and the option of checking that options box or not.

Allow InVideo advertising for this video (the ad that pops up a bar on the video)
Allow Adsense overlay advertising for this video (the ad on the side of your video)
Allow InStream advertising for this video and it gives you two options (this is the commercial before the actual video that forces you to watch the ad before you can view the video's content)
1st Option: Enable Standard InStream For Ads (the10-15 second commercial that you can't skip before the video)
2nd Option: Enable TrueView InStream for Ads (45 seconds to 1 minute and 30 second commercial that you have the choice to skip or not)( RJard thinks that you get paid more enabling this second option)
And the last option, This Video Contains a paid product placement (You check this box only if you have recieved an offer from a specific advertiser that wants to set a deal with you to advertise their product and you agree to. If you are checking the box for paid product placement ad, you cannot advertise any other ads for that specific video that you are doing a product placement ad for.)
Also, below these options in the setting box, you can filter the type of content you want advertised on or around your videos and your website.

hello i need your help i want to have the videos ads that play before my homemade video starts this is what mt settings look like which ones do i check off Monetization options Do not Monetize Monetize with Ads

 Advertising Options: Enable Overlay in-video ads Enable TrueView in-stream ads This video contains a paid product placement.

Note: Display Ads (banners that appear on the right hand side of your video) are shown by default and cannot be disabled.

Could you tell me which is more profitable?  instream or trueview? should i have them both enabled? or just trueview? / instream? i've also tried disabling categories that i think wouldnt be profitable, so i've left all the finance on there etc. is this the right way to go about it?
