I have no idea what the first song was, but it was surely not rock.
I love rock and I love trance/techno/dance/electronica/(whatever else falls into this category)
Rock was my first love though and it's easier to find a rock song I enjoy then a trance. There's just more rock songs out there.
Bottom line is pop sucks (which is probably what the first song was) and any genre with the word pop in it sucks including pop rock. Those two words shouldn't even be together.

I hope your talking about new age rock, and not the great legends like Van Halen, Def Leppard, Led Zep, etc. But i absolutley hate new age. As in Jonas Brothers, All time low and all those other gay bands. I like techno and trance. Just not rap and new age
