  • Excellent video Ronald. I'm looking at buying an ft920. I love the FM dx also and the video shows that 6m FM is alive.

Congrats on passing your ham exams.

Glad you enjoyed the video, & yes i have worked mny stns on 6 mtrs fm, even work the 6 mtr UK repeaters from here.

As for the FT- 920, all I can say is that it's an excellent rig, & if you can find a good one ...go for it !!!

  • Hi Stuart, Yes it's a fantastic radio, I've had this one for about 4 years, & very pleased with it.

It has given me many hours of pleasure on the bands, & have met many good friends with it.

Shame they're not available any more.

  • I have one and its a great rig. I do wish it had more AF drive. My ears are not what they used to be. :)

  • Excellent rig. I have owned and operated many rigs (from entry level to high end), but the 920 is by far the best looking rig of all. It is also the best ergonomically; all functions, controls, knobs, buttons are placed exactly where they need to be, making operation easy and a pleasure. It has an excellent receiver, smooth tx and rx audio, and does everything extremely well. Add the CW and AM filter and it is a top contender. It is also one of the best 6m rigs that I have operated. Nice Video

  • These are still fantastic radios! Ive owned 3 of them in my time but always sold up due to house moves etc.

    Fantastic QSO!

Love & Light, Stu de MM0 DAA.
