Professor Tony Farms (Walter George Alton) receives incredible news when he learns he's been bestowed with special gifts from ancient Aztec aliens making him the Pumaman! He is desperately needed when the evil Dr. Kobras (Donald Pleasence) plans to use an ancient mask to take over the world. Can Pumaman possibly stop him???

This entry to the series was suggested by fellow superhero fan ericinwisconsin. I have to thank him for getting me to experience such a.....memorable film.

This 1980 Italian production written and directed by Alberto DeMartino was attempting to cash in on the success of Richard Donner's Superman. Unfortunately, Pumaman didn't become as big of a hit.
This notorious film has made its mark in other ways however. Having been featured in an episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000, being listed among the 100 worst films of all time on imdb.com and Donald Pleasence stating this was the worst film he had appeared in during his long career.

Anyone else getting an uneasy feeling about this one.......?

  • hey the superman theme makes it pretty good...though I actually like the movie

  • OMG- I never thought they could make something so awful!

GO PUMAMAN-- FLY ... into the trash bin

  • By the way don't be too sure there isn't going to be a Pumaman sequel, because I might make something of the sort.

  • this film looks fucking terrible i might have to watch it haha

  • I actually own the VHS of this movie. I honestly don't see why it's that bad. The plot isn't a marvel, but I can UNDERSTAND it unlike films like Monster a Go Go and Star Odyssey. The special effects for 1980 weren't too bad, in fact it was interesting to see how the crew creatively got around their small budget. Walter George Alton is great as an unlikely hero, since in real life his is actually a lawyer. Donald Pleasance is the ultimate movie villain, and it shows. I don't see why it's so bad.

  • @jwg2372 worse from a bad sitcom.

  • The music sounds like something from a bad porno.

  • LOL! Thanks for posting this. I'm sorry I foisted this idea on you, but I couldn't resist hearing what you'd have to say about it. It really is a waste of film, but that's what makes it so funny. Thank you!

  • PEWma! not POOma. though shit related names may be more apt
