Ha-ha, and they still sell Fingerpower books at a store called Piano Trends in Crystal Lake. It's the nightmare all over again, along with the quote, "I'm going to turn you into a concert pianist!" THAT was the worst part when I kept wanting to learn pop and jazz!

@Multi80schick Ah, Crystal Lake - I used to live in Hoffman Estates many years ago, not too far from there. There was a sheet music store near my house with what seemed like every transcription in the world. Don't know if it's still there or not, but it was great.

Thanx. I'm busy putting downloaded flashcards from Jermaine together to learn chords faster. Also bought an Elton John and Peanuts songbook the other night. Getting two volumes of 70s songs as well. Anything beats the John W. Schaum stuff I was taught and, amazingly enough, I see it's still out there!

@Multi80schick I think I still have my Schaum pieces from the 1960s as well as a few John Thompson books. The JT stuff was great through Grade 2, then rapidly got boring after that. :-)
