A little expiriment

Shot through the heart (and you are too late) not really though. i made the whole ribcage in after effects. The bubbles are cc particle world (a free plugin) and so are the blood particles.
I found the sounds at sounddogs.com
and the blood splashes were included in the action movie essentials 2 stock footage pack from Andrew Kramer.

I used final cut express to cobble together the sound and video as well as capture the camera footage.
I was inspired by a scene from 3 kings (the part with the gutshot).
