Video for the song "Dangerous Roads", music by Colin Groden, lyrics by Bill Groden, vocals by Daniel James, recording by Steve Segal. Video directed by Tom Abray.

Kilbarchan Station is the band name for songwriting brothers Colin and Bill Groden. Both write lyrics and music independently but for the Station Colin contributes the music and Bill creates the lyrics. The combination of Colins melodic compositions with Bills cinematic lyrics create an intimate portrait of darkness and light, the challenges of humanity and the grace of life.

Dangerous Roads Lyrics.

The sky is the colour
Of a bruise tonight
Best turn your collar
Up against the rain
A solitary star offers
A flickering light
As if it's the only light
That heaven can sustain

The air smells of cordite
Dark and delinquent
Somehow the silence
Carries a heavy load
A chalk drawn outline
Dissolves in the pavement
Just another victim
Of these dangerous roads

Lost and detached
I've faced this road alone
No one to guide me
Or answer the phone
I'll bide my time
Till someone comes for me
Till someone comes
To take me home

Time passes slowly
Slips under your skin
Like secrets seeping
Through confessional doors
Somebody calls my name
The light lets me know
That I am the victim
Of these dangerous roads

  • Nicely done ... thinking I hear a little bit of Cohenesque phrasing .. really good job ....

  • Nicely done. My ear picks up a little of Cohen's Hallelujah, in some of the phrasing ... and that's good very good ....
