Making a Killing: The Untold Story of Psychotropic Drugging - Full Movie (Documentary)

This video provides the facts about psychotropic drugs and the huge profits they create for the pharmaceutical industry. These drugs are not safe and have not been on the market long enough to provide sufficient long term studies regarding their effects. These drugs do cause addiction, however most "doctors" would call this dependence because you do not have to take an increasing dose over time. They are completely fine with you being addicted to the same amount of any given drug on a daily basis. Over half of the people that commit suicide in the United States are prescribed to psychotropic drugs. (Ex: Paxil (Paroxetine), Zoloft (Sertraline), Prozac, Wellbutrin (Bupropion), Effexor, Seroquil, Ultram (Tramadol), etc.)

Not all doctors are corrupt and not everything here is wrong. If your behaviour is over long time damaging to yourself, you should get help and medication can help because it forces you - like a cast around a broken limb - to change behaviour, but never medication alone! If changing behaviour can help, you need a therapist and/or very good friends and enviroment to help you. It's never easy. Mistrust is good, but it's simply not that simple as stated in this doc.

Although there are some very valid points, this documentary is too black&white. Of course there's no blood test to directly associate with mental health problems. There's also no blood test for the flu! You can "only" see the immune reactions, viruses and bacteria. And like this, there are blood tests indicating the levels of hormones and neurotransmitters, which may or may not be within healthy/desired (!) boundaries. Explain this and there's no need to exaggerate or distort

i was going to say that it would just be cheaper/easier/less harmful to just sell placebos under fancy names/colors/ads, but that last part 'less harmful' refutes the point of the industry in the first place.. this is beyond abhorrent.. now, for all intents and purposes, where the weed at? -definitely what they should be prescribing.
