Not to downplay any other partnerships in any way. There are some brilliant ones out there I absolutely love. And of course, composers can have lasting collaborations with multiple directors.
I always thought it was a shame that Hitchcock ditched Herrmann is such bad fashion after some trully terific scores, simply to chase a mode "comerical" sound.

None of the partnerships mentioned compare to the work Spielberg & Williams have done in terms of scope, longevity, popularity and loyalty.
