The greatest moment at Coor$ Field is the 2007 one-game play-off.
Fact: Two days before the one-game play-off, the Padres were one strike away from clinching a play-off spot against the Brewers with Trevor Hoffman on the mound. Hoffman ironically gave up the tying run to Tony Gwynn Jr., who's dad had a Hall of Fame career with the Padres and Gwynn Jr. even idolized Trevor Hoffman growing up.
Honorable mention:
Coor$ Field inaugural game
Game 1 of the 1995 N.L.D.S.
Hideo Nomo's first no-hitter
1998 All-Star Game

  • I remember this game. I had to go into work at midnight and hadn't gone to bed for about 16 hours up to the point of the start of this game. I stayed up for the ENTIRE game, and ran that night at work on pure adrenaline. Denver went nuts afterwords. The King Soopers store I work at even today was busier than any day at that time before or since. It was sweet.

  • You remind me of Wayne from Wayne's World.
