http://www.thedrumexperts.com/neil-peart/drum_articles_neil_peart_chromey_set... This is it!!! The original drum kit played by Neil Peart 1974-1977. Neil played on this kit for Rush Albums: Fly By Night / Caress Of Steel / 2112 / All The World's A Stage.

The drum kit was on display right next to The Drum Experts - Slingerland Photo History Booth and it was ironic that Neil's Chromey Slingerland kit was our next door neighbor.

Many got to play this kit....myself included! It was very cool getting to sit behind the same kit, that as a kid I would just stare at on the album cover "All the World's A Stage".

This booth and the NP drum kit were on display at the 2010 Chicago Drum Show - May 15 & 16, 2010. A BIG thanks goes to Ghost Rider 2112 & NeilPeartDrumsticks.com for making all of this possible!!

They requested donations for ACS to check out the kit, so be sure to continue their cause and donate to The American Cancer Society. Thanks!

Check out better photo (stills) of this awesome kit:

  • @TheDrumExperts Wow! I think seeing that display would have given me goose bumps. One thing I found curious, I have been a life long NP fan and I don't recall him ever playing only one floor tom? Just an observation...awsome video.

  • the bass pedal heads are square!!! neever seen that before

  • Cool kit. I had so much fun playing it!

  • Great video TDE! Glad we got to hang out in the booths next to each other. The pics on your website look great too ... was that not some amazing light that came in there at quitting time. :-)
