Lampton Worm asks "Any idea how you can use the launchpad to trigger a curve down value in Ableton?" after having a think on it I came up with the following solution using dummy clips that could be used for on any controller. Also we are announcing the winner of the Loopmasters KJ Sawka sample pack give away AND a new give away starting today.

  • Very clear tutorial. Thanks. Is there some reason why other people make an audio effects rack to do this with many effects because it seems to me that you can just make envelopes from one clip for a few effects if you want, right? Also can you send me to a forum place where people are sharing which effects this sounds good with and which kind of loop they sound good with. That might save me a lot of experimenting time. Thanks again for the clear tutorial. bye

  • @aidanpoulter I cant comment on other peoples approach as everyone else but me is crazy.

"save me a lot of experimenting time" Dude experimenting time is what its all about! Forget about what others are doing you need to find what works for you. I cannot stress this enough, you need to find your own sound / what sounds good to you. Dont seek approval from your pears, seek approval from your ears!

  • Experimenting time is great when your single. I'm 43 and just getting a bit old to experiment as much as I want. Thanks anyway. I just thought people might share like they share patches for max for live.

    Cheers. Aidan.

  • The great thing about this kind of information + the launchpad is that it can be customised in pretty much any way possible!

  • it is possible to use only 1 column of dummy clips for all of your audio tracks... You just need to use sends

  • this is one of the most useful tutorials yet tbh.

  • Very good tutorial !!!
