  • I'm sorry,but this music is bad.

  • @restoscott I liked it, but I may change to something else.

  • Commentary instead of music would have been better.

  • @rjc071 yes, although I dont do commentry, but now I add comments via titles. This was back in 2006, and now much better editing sw...and music available!

  • This also has the distinction of being the only u-boat sunk by the USCG (the USS Roper). Some years back, the US Navy sent a team of divers to recover the live torpedoes from the wreck and I think they also welded all the hatches shut. The German gov't had a problem with people diving the wreck since it is a war grave.

  • @mrmoofle Thanks for the info.

  • @scubabrit - I know you have the "no reproduction" disclaimer at the beginning of your video, does that include the audio you "just found" too, the photo of the U85 you found, or just the part of the video you actually shot yourself? :)

  • @scubabrit Did you actually find it ON the wreck? It has sort of a German sound to it. If you did, it's amazing to me that an iPod, submerged for all those years in the icy waters of the Arctic, would still be able to play.

This is fun to watch. Did you see any sharks? How about narwhals?

    Thanks!

  • A good place to locate wrecks is Google Earth (download app) - actually it seems that 90% of the wrecks on GE are U-boats - just hows you what they were up against

  • Unwatchable.

  • Unwatchable.

  • @mrmoofle Correction to my earlier post: the USS Roper was in fact a USN ship

  • Anyone have the numbers to this wreck. I have some off the net, Like to see it and its long trip for me and my boat. N35 53.200 W75 17.000 is the general area.

email me at calvincooperdss@yahoo.com .... In the Subjet line of email use NC Wrecks or it probably get deleted with all the spam. I have lots of good numbers to trade.
