@scubabrit - I know you have the "no reproduction" disclaimer at the beginning of your video, does that include the audio you "just found" too, the photo of the U85 you found, or just the part of the video you actually shot yourself? :)

@scubabrit Did you actually find it ON the wreck? It has sort of a German sound to it. If you did, it's amazing to me that an iPod, submerged for all those years in the icy waters of the Arctic, would still be able to play.
This is fun to watch. Did you see any sharks? How about narwhals?
Thanks!

A good place to locate wrecks is Google Earth (download app) - actually it seems that 90% of the wrecks on GE are U-boats - just hows you what they were up against

Unwatchable.

@mrmoofle Correction to my earlier post: the USS Roper was in fact a USN ship

Commentary instead of music would have been better.

This also has the distinction of being the only u-boat sunk by the USCG (the USS Roper). Some years back, the US Navy sent a team of divers to recover the live torpedoes from the wreck and I think they also welded all the hatches shut. The German gov't had a problem with people diving the wreck since it is a war grave.
