@drummerbombom I'm exactly the same on a real bass drum. I have the mesh pad tension really tight so it has little or no bounce.. just like my real kick!

Awesomeness! What pedals were you getting to replace your Axis?
Did the doubles help your singles? I'm thinking of learning how to do doubles just as another "tool in the toolbelt" so to speak...
