Jerry's Guitar, Cebu Philippines - Luvy Playing The Guitar I Bought

Jerry's guitar in Lapu Lapu City is the very best place I found to buy a guitar on the island of Cebu (The island famous for it's locally produced guitars). Some of the other guitar factories and shops gave me the "American Price" while Jerry's gave me their everyday, local price. The service was EXCELLENT and I had an accoustic/electric pickup and equalizer installed overnight. The guitar has a solid mahogany back and sides and spruce top. It sounds great (especially after adding the Martin Accoustic SP strings I brought from the US). Luvy is simply a local guitar player who hangs out there and is friends with Jerry and his Wife Anne. He was just messing around when I started to video him. You can see he has LOTS of talent. I also bought an excellent quality case. Everything was MUCH cheaper than in the US and they were happy to customize it for you or build one to your specifications. If you get to Cebu and want to buy a guitar... GO TO JERRY'S ! ! !

Jerry's is along the main strip of guitar factories in Lapu Lapu and is across the street and down just a tiny bit from Alegre Guitar. Any of the local taxi / trike drivers should know how to get there. Alegre had some beautiful guitars but they wanted to charge me the price of a new Gibson for an, admittedly very nice, rosewood/spruce dreadnaught.
