By Dave Loggins. I took the time to make a little slide video. This is an amazing song.

I wanted to post this song, just for that reason, God Bless the People in Boston!

Ha, I'm 54, when I was 17 I left Jupiter Fl with a paper bag of clothes, shorts, tee-shirt, flip flops. Hitched to Boston to see 1st girlfriend, whom was just taken by cancer. I was up and down east coast from then til I was about 23-25. Married, but love to travel! o, hitched from Ct to seattle, LA, lived there for a year, but Im a Jersey boy and in a few months Ill be there for good!

Even more disturbing was the fact they "locked down" (another word for Martial Law) a city of 2-3 million people for one 19 year old kid.
Many are fooled and few can truly see through all the lies.

It's never to late...as far as safety, America can"t make any promises ( as you have seen) but you might find we do our best to try to safeguard it.Y'all come on over, you might like us.

As a Canadian who knows the affect of the Halifax Explosion and the response of the people of Boston, we are eternally grateful. We say so every year in the form of a Christmas tree. This year it is our turn to return the love and respect. We love you Boston, you are one great city, with great people. You are an example to the rest of the world as to what true heroes are!

I was 17 years old when I heard this song on the radio, I loved it! I live in Brisbane,
Australia. It was always my intention to visit the USA and all these places in the song. I got chronic fatigue syndrome many years back and didn't fulfil my wish to travel. But I've almost recovered now so maybe it's still not too late? Then there's the issue of safety now when you travel. My heart goes out to the people of Boston for what has happened. I wish them love and strength to get through this.

He's also had a very long run as a songwriter in Nashville since, for Alabama etc ala the late Randy Vanwarmer and Sammy Johns.

Dave Loggins is from the Johnson City, Tenn. area. As is Kenny, his cousin. This is one of my most favorite songs. He also wrote the music they used forever for The Master Golf Tournament which also has lyrics.
