@NJPurling They're both problems according to the ATF, and it requires 2 tax stamps to own one of these(one for the suppressor, one for the barrel length). $800 total in taxes if you're a private individual getting it in from out of state... The saving grace on this is that it's C&R, so if you have a C&R license you can save $400 on tax. The taxes are the absolute least of your worries on an original though... (worth more than a car probably)

Are the problems in owning one related to the fact it is a Short Barreled Rifle or because it is silenced?
Were they crafted purely as a short-range assassination weapon.
