Gran Hilda's Parkin Recipe Part 2: Instructions
Mix together oatmeal, flour, spices, salt and warmed treacle.
Melt lard, marg and brown sugar, stirring this into the ingredients with treacle.
Then add milk mixing well. This is quite a wet mixture.
Pour into two lined loaf tins.
Cook 150 degrees for 1hr - 1hr 1/4 - maybe a little longer, depending on oven.

Gran Hilda's recipe (ingredients): 1lb. medium oatmeal; 1/2lb. S.R.Flour; 3 oz. lard; 3oz. margarine; 2tsp. ground ginger; 8oz. soft brown sugar; 1tsp. mixed spice; 10oz. whole milk; 1lb. treacle, mixed with little syrup (1lb. altogether); little salt.

How much flour Hilda and what is the cooking temperature? My husband wants me to make this as he remembers it.
