Anyone got footage from the 1974 season with the original set other than from TV Promos? Would like to see how similar it was to the 1987 series set.

You really ought to watch the game show hosts week of Jim Perry's Card Sharks. Alex was on there in all his colors from this era

Makes some of us feel old to realize Alex will be 70 on Thursday. I believe he'll become only the second host to helm a daily game show past the age of 70, the other of course being Bob Barker.

I'll never forget: I was watching High Rollers because I was home sick from school, and a contestant had to make a simple choice of what numbers to blank out and she made a block headed decision. Well, Alex Trebek was visibly OBVIOUSLY irritated at her stupidity. It was hilarious. At that point, he became my favorite game show MC. Of course, when I learned that he would be hosting a revived Jeopardy!, I was sooo happy. No one could have done it better than old Alex.
