The sequel to 'Moments of Colour'; another slideshow featuring Autumn photography. This time all are processed as HDR (high dynamic range) images, for more vivid colours, closer to what our eyes actually see. This film also has the 'Golden Light of Dawn' photo set, where I studied the simple beauty of the sun rising over yellow ginkgo leaves, producing a kind of 'liquid light' that I had never seen before away from the ocean.

I love it! I can't believe such color is achievable in pictures!

  • These are 'HDR'- it is an amazing technique that blends exposures to have something closer to what your eye can see. What will be amazing is when monitors and HDTVs can display the full 48-bit (billions of colours) of an HDR picture. HDMI 1.3 comes closer than ever to this, though it is yet to be used. Today's monitors are 8-bit (millions of colours, but far less depth).

  • Thank you so much! Glad you felt so much from this.
