Yes the dog should be in the back. I didn't like the way the seat belt was attached to the collar. The dog should be wearing a harness especially made for safety not a flimsy one either in a 30mph crash your pet becomes missle 20 times their weight.

What about the air bag? Just like a young child Nikita should probably be seated in the back. Just a thought and something you can research. I myself am now researching the best way to travel with my dog in the car. All the best!
