Final Fantasy VIII - Disc 4 - HQ Final Boss Ultimecia (ePSXe 1.7.0)

The final boss from Final Fantasy VIII, Sorceress Ultimecia. Squall fights the sorceress alone after Rinoa, incapacitated, is 'absorbed into time' compression. Squall fights heroically in this battle, delivering perfect blow after blow, but for some time it seems like it is just not enough. Sorceress Ultimecia attempts to distract Squall from his goal by convincing him the world's fate is already determined, but Squall resists these temptations to lay down and give up.

After a long and difficult battle, Squall finally defeats Sorceress Ultimecia and puts an end to the time compression threatening the existence of all worlds.

But there is one problem Squall still must overcome... How does Squall get back to his own world? How does he go back to find Rinoa?

In this video we see all of Squall's specials which can come at the end of his patented 'Renzokuken.' We see Blasting Zone on the first Renzokuken at 0:53 and again at 8:30, Fated Circle on Renzokuken at 2:20 and 7:18, the ultimate Lion Heart on Renzokuken starting at 2:55, and the Rough Divide special finishing Renzokuken at 5:25. The Renzokuken limit breaks at 4:05 and 5:00 do not follow with specials.

The final boss battle plays to the track "The Extreme" from Disc 4 of the Final Fantasy VIII OST.

What shader effect are you using in this video??

@lorddavenor I'm using the SAL GLSL shader from Guest's Shader's collection here. I am using this shader in all of the emulated Playstation 1 games.

The quality, the music, the battle, everything is so awesome, it even looks like an older game rather than a 1999 game! does the PS3 has the capability to make the graphics seem as this video? because if so, Im so getting the PS3 just for playin this game! (oh and silent hill :3)

@DarkFimbulwinter Unfortunately, it doesn't look quite this good, because the resolution is unchanged from the original game.

However, the Playstation 3 uses texture filtering on Playstation games the same way the Playstation 2 does.

You'll have to use a PC to make the resolution higher.

I think this is the way the final battle should be. Squall alone vs ultimecia. Ultimecia's words are affecting Squall. Just perfect.

@redshirts23 The game-breaker is the 10 Holy Wars from the Gilgamesh card. You can refine it and then keep winning it back from the CC group on the Ragnarok on Disc 4, so you can have 100 of them.

It makes Omega Weapon a piece of cake too!
