@guienr1 So basically that makes the Marine recruiter a "seasonal travel/buzzcut fashion" salesman. How does a 13 week vacation at Parris Island/San Diego sound to you, with a kickass skin cut?
My 7 weeks at Lackland AFB in the summer of '04 was one helluva vacation, compliments of my recruiter lol.

Army recruiters don't know how to recruit like a Marine recruiter does. A Marine recruiter will only promise you a plane ticket and a haircut.

lol this is much unlike the canadian military. Who i have to call 800 times just to get ahold of someone to set up the meeting lol

well in truth if you go in the army and get screwed up in Iraq, then you screwed up your life, and the VA will do as little as they can to take care of you once you have been hurt. just look at history of the VA, and do your research not only on the branch you sign up for. Do your research on how you will be treated when you get hurt and if the VA will take care of you after you get hurt. We have to fight for our meds worse then the medicaid people that have never even worked do.

Ahhh. Another American tactic to get more troops. First they lower their qualification standards and now they tell high school age KIDS that they will put out a warrant for their arrest if they don't show up at the recruiters office. Very Classy ARMY.

The lower standards and these stunts are disgusting. Street gangs have a 5-10% infiltration right in the US Military now because of all the moral waivers they are giving.
