One of the first prominent European jazz musicians, Reinhardt remains one of the most renowned jazz guitarists.

Apparently this version is based on the original song by Fats Waller.

Song mentioned in the following links:
http://www.myxer.com/ringtone/id/2530674/Fats-Waller-Django-Reinhardt/Jitterb... (here you can hear a different sample, but very similar, while attribution is made to both Fats Waller and Django Reinhardt)
http://bioshock.wikia.com/wiki/BioShock_Soundtrack (attributed only to Django)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BioShock_(soundtrack) (attributed only to Fats Waller)

  • You're not giving the violinist credit. Who is it? Stuff Smith?

  • @OrganGrinderLola : If I knew I would have included the information. If someone does find out and shows me a reliable source, ill be more than happy to include it in the description and title

  • Are you sure this is Django playing? I doubt it, doesn't sound like him and it's not in Django Integrale, maybe it's someone called Reidenhardt;-)?

  • @geroen : I'm not 100% sure, but it does turn out in lastfm search engine and it was named as such in the official bioshock soundtrack

  • hey hayenmill, it is based on Fats' song. this is Django's cover of it, and a really good one at that =)

  • @elliotcheely : Thanks for the reply!

  • Thumbs Up if you heard this on the catwalk above the Tea Garden in Bioshock 1 ;)

  • I like to listen to this song while going through old photos. Reminds me of simpler times.

  • I don't believe this is Django or Stephan....nicely played but "too modern" in the chord strumming...pax doug

  • This song is in Bioshock, In the level Arcadia

  • @OrganGrinderLola ...er, there's this guy called Stephane Grappelli... maybe you've heard of him? He's kinda, well, HUGE.

  • Django Reindhardt great musician

  • @HayenMill Please do!

  • Yep Stéphane Grappelli

  • @OrganGrinderLola Steffan Grapelli

  • @OrganGrinderLola Probably Stephane Grappelli on violin. They recorded quite a lot together.

  • I am Wawau Adler

this is never never Django Reinhardt

    But good. Fun

  • This is clearly NOT Django and Grappelli. If you would take the time to listen with even half a critical ear, you'd easily see that it's Slash and that dude that plays violin in the Dave Matthews Band.

"Would you kindly" listen again and tell me I'm right?
