The BeiJing Jam is a film to give regards to documentary SURPLUS, Silver Wolf award winner of 2003 International Documentary Filmfestival in Armsterdam.SURPLUS talked about consumption lifestyle under forces of Globalization when people are prone to over consume or even to be terrorized to consume .when looking back to SURPLUS under current Global financial crisis,I especially admire those filmmakers accurate sense to crisis. When BeiJing as one of major cosmopolitan cities in China,going under fast-paced development with people looking forward to satisfy their material needs more than even before,the problems in SURPLUS will surely emerge sooner or later .The BeiJing Jam was trying to raise these question and hopefully suggest some answers before the problems went too far to talk about it.
