Re: TaeYeon(Girls Generation) - If...(MV)

This song really touched my heart (as well as MILLIONS of others) and so I decided to sing this song. I know Taeyeon's vocals are FAR better and her voice suites this song more than mine.. but I tend to sing songs that I like and sometimes they aren't the best for my vocal ranges but I sing because I love it not because the song "fits" my vocal type.

I haven't really had time to practice singing let alone this song but I gave it my all. Any critisicm/comments/pointers is welcome! If you don't comment, please at least rate.

i never sing songs without the actual artist's voices in the background. aka, no I do not have the instrumentals of any of the songs i sing. its just i put the mic closer to me than the speakers and so it sounds the instrumental.

practice with teh artists so you know you are in tune. thats what i do and it seems to keep me in tune for the most part. good luck!

You still lack in putting emotions and feelings to your song. If I can comment in Korean, it would be possible for me to anaylize your skill a bit better. Anyway keep on practicing. Good work!

Hi I have seen about 10 of your videos and had few questions. Although you might not like it, I would like to comment on your singing skill. Please don't take it the wrong way. You are pretty good for a non-professional singer. First of all, you are Korean. Right? You need to work on pronouncing words more clearly. You sort of have an accent when you sing and that's a bad habit. Secondly, you need to put your soul and feeling to your song.

you put accents in the wrong places so it feels like syncopation.

Wowzer, and I was just about to comment on how well you stayed in tune. Secret's out, eh? lol You still did a beautiful job and this song (as the others) fits your voice well.

Your passaggio needs a little work, though. Switching from head to chest voice is a common challenge among singers. But keep singing, you'll find your rite of passage! Again, I think you're doing a bang-up job!! o$(^_-)
