God bless U 4 your honesty & your courage! I'm being discreet to protect your anonymity. When I saw this vid months ago I almost fell over bc I immediately felt that I knew your voice from another doc. I watched your segment a gazillion times bc it helped me to cope with my own DID. I wonder if U could help me now w/ a question re: treatment. I had e-mailed KH with the same question & I promised I wouldn't bother you but this won't leave me. I really need your prospective. PLZ respond? Thank U.

Your story is VERY similar, almost exact to me and my deceased twin sister. Thank you for sharing, you remind me we weren't alone. :)

My apologies, David Hoffman, I just thought my stuff was appropriate to the subject and i attached it to one of the first items listed. By all means remove it. Keep up the good work anyway. R. Ahearn.
This extract is from my self-dramatized radio play "The Littlest Devil" in which Screwtape makes a cameo appearance. I post it here as it makes a point about the Catholic Church's laissez-faire attitude to this problem. I hope that this is acceptable to this contributor.

@horselord23 - You have not posted an extract, and the clip I present here is from my movie made by me in support of child sexual abuse organizations nationwide.

@allinaday- I know, but her dad, 2 uncles, her brother and her brother's friends, wow, that's a really messed up family. Very sad. Question: Do you think it happened more back in the day when no one was educated about sexual abuse like they are now, or now days, or is it just the same and we just hear about it more because of such wide spread media coverage. Who knows though right, because back in older times, no one dared talk about it, it was hid in the closet.

@vtorialyn - A good question but I really do not know the answer. There is certainly more knowledge about this today. but I don't know if that has stopped abusers or slowed them down. David Hoffman–filmmaker

Good God where the hell was this, the back woods of WV or something? This poor poor girl. I can't even begin to imagine how one over comes something like this. I don't think I could ever be with a man after all she's been through, I'd have to become a lesbian.

@vtorialyn - Jean's experiences took place in Maine but in the process of making this film, I learned the sad truth that it is not just backwoods trailer people who commit these acts on their children but people from every area of society including the rich and well-educated.
