Compared to the BBC version, this is sad...and not because it's particularly well done. Because the BBC version wasn't big budget and was made in 1988/89, the entire production hinged on authenticity, story and the performances of the actors. Unfortunately, in those 3 crucial areas, the new series just doesn't measure up. Even with a visibly mechanical Aslan, the BBC version pulls you in. If you're obsessed with technology, the new movies are for you.

The music fits so perfectly... I love the Lion King (one of my favourite movies of all time), and have always loved the Chronicles of Narnia (even if these films don't quite follow the books...!)
