my favourite royal. Always elegant, perfect composure, brilliant warm smile, intellgent - an indefatigable and self effacing worker for the various charities of which she is patron. A life of service to the country and the crown, her private life refreshingly unmarked by scandal or controversy (many royals have a thing or two to learn here.). I am also always struck by her resemblance to Queen Alexandra especially the eyes and the way she smiles.

Prior to her marriage she was known as Princess Alexandra of Kent, being the first princess to use the territorial designation of Kent since Queen Victoria, who was, prior to her accession, known as Princess Alexandrina Victoria of Kent.
