my favourite royal. Always elegant, perfect composure, brilliant warm smile, intellgent - an indefatigable and self effacing worker for the various charities of which she is patron. A life of service to the country and the crown, her private life refreshingly unmarked by scandal or controversy (many royals have a thing or two to learn here.). I am also always struck by her resemblance to Queen Alexandra especially the eyes and the way she smiles.

Princess Alexandra carries out royal duties on behalf of her cousin, Queen Elizabeth II. As of October 2011 she is 39th in the line of succession to the thrones of 16 states; at the time of her birth in 1936, she was sixth in line to the thrones of seven countries.

Princess Alexandra, The Honourable Lady Ogilvy LG GCVO (Alexandra Helen Elizabeth Olga Christabel; born 25 December 1936) is the youngest granddaughter of King George V of the United Kingdom and Mary of Teck. She is the widow of Sir Angus Ogilvy. Prior to her marriage she was known as Princess Alexandra of Kent, being the first princess to use the territorial designation of Kent since Queen Victoria, who was, prior to her accession, known as Princess Alexandrina Victoria of Kent.

A very beautiful and gracious princess. If history had been different I really do believe that she would have made as fine a monarch as our own Elizabeth II.

This one gets more beautiful with each passing year. She inherited the Battenberg smirk, like the Duke of Edinburgh...

Lady Gabriela is very similar to her aunt Alexandra.
Princess Alexandra was a great personality, in spite of all her sorrows and truly difficult and tragic life.
