never heard the original but this sounds great dulcimers remind me of medieval times with bards and jesters and all that good stuff.

Thank you for the kind words, Mara. The arrangement is my own, and yes, it is a bit too quiet. I was recording after midnight on my screen porch, and wanted to be sure not to wake the neighbors. I should have turned the mic input up some to compensate.
I published a "how-to" article for arranging these two songs (plus Mountains of Mourne) in my dulcimer club newsletter about a year ago. I'd be glad to send that to you. Just PM me with a email address for the attachment.

I first learned this for harmonica in 1999. I know it was then because I got a book of Irish traditional songs in the airport terminal in Shannon while on the way to Bosnia, and learned them there. I've taught myself several of my harmonica favorites on the dulcimer in the last couple of years.
