add some hitboxes for headshots and polish the animation and this game is worth playing.

anyone know where I can get the source for this version? Shiva comes with source for the old one where u only get a sniper rifle, and its also very unoptimized. If I'm going to study a FPS for a specific engine I would prefer to at least study the more optimized version

@emonub Spellborn was based on the unreal engine, and it was a mmorpg.. It took them about 20 million euros to build an mmorpg based on the Unreal engine

You are very mistaken if you ask this question here. Shiva is a free 3D render engine and not a game. And you do not know about the masterpieces in the world of gaming. Just look for ICO or Beyond Good and Evil and you will realize mistake. Sorry my english.

Playing this, it was only slightly less disappointing than the C4 engine demo. Seeing as there isn't a spotlight of AAA games unlike Unity's site, they need to make sure their own little demos are AAA quality and don't have rough edges.

UDK is a completely different situation... It's far more geared to specific applications and has trouble with alot of specific features. Not saying this is better, it's just different. Eg: UDK really doesn't have any MMO support whereas shiva sells complete server software that works with their game engine.
