Sleeping bag liner are great if you are planning on spending lots of time in a sleeping bag like on an extended expedition, it extends the life of your bag as well reducing the amount of times you need to wash it. Additionally a fleece liner can add up to 5oC of warmth to you bag boosting a bag to make it more comfortable.

  • thier was a company sea to summit saying that thin liner will add another 15 degree to your sleeping bag ...ya right

  • Sceptical, I had a RAB liner that was thick fleece that claimed to add -5 a bit more realistic. You could just buy a warmer sleeping bag.

  • i came across a listing on ebay for the faux silk liners, they said it increased the insulation property of a sleeping bag by +5 degrees Celsius not to mention if your travelling light and your sleeping bag is one of those space blanket types it make it more comfortable to sleep in.the liners are small and light weight enough not to add to much to you gear which is essential if your going to be hiking for a long period of time.

  • Actually, a silk liner is used for more than just aesthetics. It can add 7-10 degrees warmth to the rating of your sleeping bag. I can tell you from experience this is true. It is also more practical for backpacking with, seeing as though it packs down a lot smaller and weighs less than a fleece liner.

I think you should do more research before making an informational video.

  • Do something on vbl's please

  • i like the "she wee" vid better, she looks kinda hot in an uncomfortable way...

  • silk is wamer than you think

  • Ain't nuthin hotter than a good looking babe who loves the outdoors. Will you marry me?

  • Fleece? Is that nylon?

  • I agree...

The silk liner I got worked great.

I dry clean my bag every year, but it was a lot cleaner using it with the silk liner. The silk also feels sooooooo nice.

A lot better then nylon against the skin.
