V8 polluting gas guzzlers
-
btw, I see a few thousand cars and trucks I wish I owned LOL. I'd be worse than Nethercutt and Jay Leno :P
-
This is awesome!! Still hate traffic though. Show the 405fwy next :/

@VengeanceIsMine79 You are absolutely right. And here is another bit of info: The USSR did not collapse, communism is very much alive, Glasnost and Perestroika were deceptions to fool the gullible west into sending foreign aid and lower its guard. The biggest Trojan Horse Operation ever conducted.
-
most (but not all) of these people who are driving are now dead.
but some things about L.A. traffic haven't changed since the 1950's: massive slowdowns and motorcycles lane-splitting.
-
@TheWildwest50 It's you
-
STAY IN A FUCKING LANE JESUS!
-
People actually let people in to merge lanes...thats why the traffic flow was so smooth...people today are assholes on this freeway
-
Traffic was actually moving back then...people ACTUALLY KNEW HOW TO DRIVE..

@umdkaskar If you still call water a resource, China is sipping up all our fresh water out of the Great Lakes like an ice cream milkshake after they built that monster dam over their. And as far as I know, the Chinese are not White or Capitalists. BTW, it was the US that propped up India, Brazil, and China's economies! China is deep in bed with the Illuminati and currently China has eminent domain over US Land as collateral for US debt!! Google it if you think I'm bullshitting you!

@bboucharde Good to see I'm not the only one who knows what's going on. Thanks and God bless you!
-
@jonball52 Thanks! You are well informed and know that turf.
-
@bboucharde , I forgot to add to note that spiral concrete staircase just to the left of the left-most southbound lane. When you make the transition from the northbound Pasadena to the northbound Golden State, you curve left right in front of it. For years back in the 1960s into the 1980s, there was a spooky looking skull that some street artist painted on it. I couldn't believe how long that remained up!
-
@VengeanceIsMine79 You hit it right on the nailhead! Salute to you---and keep your doors locked and powder dry. Best Wishes, BBoucharde
-
@jonball52 Jon, Thanks for the information and clarification. I did not realize that the Pasadena Freeway was so wide back in mid-1950's, but I agree with your observation.
-
As far as this video is concerned, it appears that most Americans were interested in two-tone, light colored cars than the black, grey, and brown shades which were more prevalent in the prior decade.

@umdkaskar 'racist' or 'racism' is a code word the Ism's (Maoists, Marxists, Bolshevists, Communists, Afrocentrists, Crony Capitalists, Zionists) use....It means 'anti-White'!!
-
@bboucharde , It's the Pasadena Freeway headed south just past where the current Golden State Freeway is. Look off to the left in the opening sequence and you can see the northernmost tunnel of the northbound lanes. Look to the right and you can see the connector road from the southbound Golden State that used to be just a single lane running along the cliff face. That connector used to be the onramp from Avenue 26 off San Fernando Rd before the completion of the Golden State.

Observations from an old Californian who lived in the formerly "Golden State" back near this time shown: (1) 95% of the vehicles in the film are made in the USA. (2) 95% of the drivers spoke clear English. (3) Those drivers are virtually all headed to or from jobs---California had an impressive industrial base at that time---It has a lot thinner base now. (4) This looks like LA's Hollywood Freeway (101), just east of downtown. It is too wide for the Pasadena Freeway (old Arroyo Seco route).
